Cameron Highlands Tour

Everything you need to know about Cameron Highlands

Overview of Cameron Highlands

The Cameron Highlands (金馬崙高原) is a district in Pahang, Malaysia, covering 712.18 square kilometers.

It borders Kelantan to the north and Perak to the west. Located in the northwest of Pahang, it is about 90 kilometers east of Ipoh, around 200 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur, and about 355 kilometers from Kuantan, the capital of Pahang.

It is the smallest district in the state.

Despite being the smallest district in Pahang, the Cameron Highlands holds significant economic and environmental importance, thanks to its agricultural and tourism industries.

What Makes Cameron Highland a Tourist Hotspot

Cameron Highlands is famous for its tea plantations, strawberry farms, and vegetable markets, with the Boh Tea Plantation being one of its most iconic landmarks.

The weather condition and temperature of the location makes it the ideal place for cultivating tea, flowers, and various produce not typically grown in Malaysia’s tropical lowlands.

Because of this, it has helped Cameron Highlands to be a tourist destination for both domestic and international tourists.

The district offers attractions such as hiking trails, butterfly gardens, and mossy forests, alongside a mix of colonial-era buildings and modern accommodations. Main known locations include Tanah Rata, Brinchang, and Ringlet.
