Genting Highland history dates back to the 1960s where it was founded by Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, a visionary entrepreneur who was inspired by the idea of creating a highland retreat that offer both entertainment and relaxation. The development of Genting began in 1965 when Lim Goh Tong acquired the land and set on ambitious project to transform it to a resort destination. The first major milestone was the opening of Genting Casino in 1971, which market the beginning of Genting Highlands.
Over the decades, Genting has evolved and continues to thrive as a vibrant resort. Its natural beauty combined with modern amenities makes it a world-class destination for luxury and leisure.
